The pantry
Five things we will make from the vanilla
In the order the farm can supply them, starting with a jar of vanilla sugar.
Vanilla sugar
FirstCane sugar rested with split vanilla pods until it smells like a bakery at six in the morning. The first batches use vanilla we buy from growers we know. From the first harvest on, the pods are ours.
Our first product, and the simplest. The label says plainly where the vanilla came from, so you always know whether a jar holds bought-in pods or our own.
Ice cream
Next · own beansPremium pints made with our own beans, and a Thai story in every scoop. The one we are most excited about.
Made in small batches once our own beans are cured. Pints for home, and for cafés, hotels and delis in Bangkok.
The recipe book
In the worksRecipes from the road, one for each companion, from Khamin’s golden custard to Elder Koko’s cacao and vanilla porridge.
A cookbook set in the world of the series, built around vanilla and the crops that grow beside it.
Tiramisu
Limited · BangkokA limited edition in Bangkok, made together with a French patisserie or an Italian kitchen.
One recipe, one short run, our vanilla. Announced to the waitlist first.
Perfume
LaterVanilla from our own harvest, bottled. The last chapter, and the slowest one.
Only once the farm and the story have earned it.
